Most of Team BMC’s riders found the mountains attractive to spend their summers ahead of the World Championships. So did Titouan Carod and Juri Zanotti, who went on a three-week altitude training camp together in southern Switzerland before heading to race in the French Cup in Les Menuires.
Bad luck struck Baumann and Häberlin in their opening laps, resulting in crashes and painful injuries. Zanotti finished in the top 15, while Carod ended his Sunday in 51st place.
World Cups are following each other rapidly in June and the first week of July, with the sixth round of World Series racing in Les Gets this weekend. Team BMC travels to the French Alps with five riders.
Mammut supports Team BMC’s riders with active, off-the-bike outdoor apparel, for instance, for other training activities besides cycling. Both Jordan Sarrou and Titouan Carod are known for practicing other sports to get in shape for the biggest races of the season, and that’s where Mammut supports them.
